Confirm the current process

Licensing is handled by the Ministry of Health, with the assessment organised through the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB). Requirements for verification, experience and the exam itself are set by them and can change, so confirm them before you apply.

Topics to prioritise

  • Infectious disease, including H. pylori, tuberculosis and malaria basics.
  • Diabetes and cardiovascular therapeutics.
  • Paediatric dosing and drugs to avoid in children.
  • Pregnancy and lactation safety.
  • Calculations and pharmacokinetics.

A six-week plan

  • Weeks 1–3: organ-system therapeutics.
  • Week 4: infections and antimicrobials in depth.
  • Week 5: special populations and calculations.
  • Week 6: full timed mocks and targeted revision.
