How to Prepare for the MOHAP (UAE MOH) Pharmacist Exam

MOHAP licenses pharmacists for the emirates without their own regulator. The exam covers the same clinical ground as DHA and DOH, so the preparation is the same; what differs is making sure MOHAP is the right licence for the job you want.

Is MOHAP the right licence?

MOHAP covers emirates such as Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Abu Dhabi is licensed by DOH and Dubai by DHA. Check where your intended employer is and which licence it needs before you apply, since arrangements can change.

Topics to prioritise

  • Emergencies: anaphylaxis, hypoglycaemia, status asthmaticus and common poisonings with their antidotes.
  • Chronic disease management in community pharmacy.
  • Antimicrobials and vaccination schedules.
  • Calculations: dilutions, percentage strength, infusion rates and paediatric doses.
  • Pharmacy practice: storage, cold chain, controlled drugs and dispensing safety.

A six-week plan

  • Weeks 1–3: therapeutics by organ system.
  • Week 4: emergencies, toxicology and antidotes.
  • Week 5: calculations and pharmacy practice.
  • Week 6: full timed mocks and targeted revision.
