Practice Pharmacology MCQsExam preparation
Subject-wise Pharm-D MCQs, timed practice and revision guidance for every professional year of the five-year Doctor of Pharmacy programme in Pakistan.
Pharm-D is a five-year professional degree whose curriculum is approved by the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan. Each professional year ends in university examinations. The paper format is set by each university, but most combine objective MCQs with short and long written questions, practicals and a viva.
MCQs are where steady preparation pays off most directly. They sample the whole syllabus, reward precise recall of mechanisms, formulas and definitions, and leave no room for a vague answer. Practising them by subject throughout the year, rather than only in the final weeks, is the most reliable way to protect your grade.
Pharm-D subjects also build on each other. Pharmacology leans on physiology and biochemistry, pharmacokinetics on basic mathematics, and clinical pharmacy on all of them. A weak topic in the second professional year tends to resurface in the fourth, so fixing it early is worth the effort.

Practice Pharmacology MCQsPhysical pharmacy, dosage form design and biopharmaceutics run through several professional years.
Practice Pharmaceutics MCQsOrganic and inorganic chemistry form the base of the early professional years.
Practice Pharmaceutical Chemistry MCQsCrude drugs, their sources, constituents and identification tests recur every year it is taught.
Practice Pharmacognosy MCQsThe foundation for pharmacology: receptors, organ systems and homeostasis.
Practice Physiology MCQsMetabolic pathways and enzymes explain how many drugs act and how they are handled.
Practice Biochemistry MCQsCalculation questions on clearance, half-life and dosing appear in later professional years.
Practice Pharmacokinetics MCQsFinal-year papers move from facts to cases, interactions and monitoring.
Practice Clinical Pharmacy MCQsA step-by-step plan for Pharm-D University Exams, from first revision to the last mock test.
List the subjects in your current professional year and open each one on PharmaPrep. Use the topic list as a checklist for the semester, and tick a topic off only when your accuracy on it is consistently above 70%.
Twenty to thirty MCQs per subject each week keeps earlier chapters fresh and shows you what you have forgotten while there is still time to fix it.
A wrong answer is only useful if you find out why. Read the explanation, then check the textbook section it references for anything that is still unclear.
Before a sessional or professional exam, sit a timed mixed test on the chapters it covers. It exposes gaps that untimed practice hides.
Keep a running list of topics below 60% accuracy and revisit it at the start of every new professional year, before the subjects that depend on it begin.

Answer: C. Propranolol
Propranolol blocks both β1 and β2 receptors. Atenolol, metoprolol and bisoprolol are β1-selective (cardioselective) at usual therapeutic doses.
Answer: B. Increasing the viscosity of the dispersion medium
Stokes' law gives v = d²(ρs − ρo)g / 18η, so sedimentation slows as the viscosity η rises. Larger particles and a greater density difference both speed sedimentation up.
Answer: A. Solanaceae
Atropine is a tropane alkaloid from Atropa belladonna and related members of the Solanaceae. Papaveraceae yields the opium alkaloids and Rubiaceae yields cinchona alkaloids such as quinine.

No. The questions are original practice material written around the Pharm-D syllabus and referenced to standard pharmacy textbooks. They test the same concepts without reproducing any university's paper.
Questions are organised by subject rather than by year, so you can practise whatever your current professional year covers, from physiology, biochemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry early on to pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and clinical pharmacy later.
Yes. Filter practice by subject, topic and difficulty to match what the paper covers, then take a timed test to rehearse it under exam conditions.
